Bolton Wanderers will be hoping Newcastle United's bad run continues when the two sides meet at St James Park this weekend in the all important Premiership clash.
However the Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce has a defensive headache with Florent Laville (knee) and Nicky Hunt (hamstring) both out injured. It will most definately mean a recall in defence for Bruno N'Gotty who scored the winning goal against Middlesbrough last week. Defensive duo Anthony Barness and Simon Charlton have both recovered from injuries and will be hoping to stake their claim against the Magpies.
Youri Djorkaeff has also recovered from a calf injury and is expected to play but loan signing Glen Little will miss the game with a groin strain. Ibrahim Ba and Mario Jardel both completed 90 minutes for the reserves in midweek so will be pushing for places on the bench.
Newcastle will be without defender Jonathan Woodgate, who has a stomach injury so Titus Bramble may once again deputise for the former Leeds United player, but they welcome back Jermaine Jenas and Steve Harper following recent injuries. Former Wanderers defender Robbie Elliott will miss the clash against his former club as he is out of favour.
Bolton haven't won at St James Park for over 40 years, the last victory came in October 1959 when Ray Parry scored both goals for the Trotters in a 2-0 win. Newcastle have made a similar start to their disasterous 1999-2000 campaign and haven't yet won a game in the Premiership this season but I think they are in a false position down at the bottom of the table, with the squad they have they should be within the top six positions, im sure a manager of Sir Bobby Robson's experience and know how will turn it around but at the same time im hoping Bolton can get a decent result tommorow, building on the success of the previous win over Middlesbrough......and not forgetting a free curry.
