Bolton make the short journey to Stainton Park at the weekend as they face Unibond League side Radcliffe Boro in the second of their pre-season warm up games which has so far seen them defeat Dundee United in midweek.
Wanderers youngsters Joey O'Brien, Charlie Comyn-Platt, Ricky Shakes, Ricardo Vaz-Te and Jason Talbot could once again be set to gain more experience with the first team squad having impressed during the first game against Dundee United in Leyland whilst the club could also take another look at a number of trialists during the game.
Boro boss Kevin Glendon is set to name a similar side to the once which defeated Bury 4-1 during the week and that will almost certainly mean that new signings Rory Patterson and Scott Wilson keep their places. Captain Davey Luker and experienced utility player Gordon Armstrong are still on the sidelines but are expected to make a first team return soon.
The summer fixture against Radcliffe has been quite a regular occurance since Sam Allardyce took over as the Bolton manager. In 2000 and 2001 the Trotters boss has taken teams over to Stainton Park to face the Boro and the games don't always go as expected. Newly promoted league outfit Shrewsbury Town only just managed to overcome Boro by a single goal to nil so it proves that league status can go out of the window in games such as these.
The game will kick off tommorow at 3pm for ticket information please log onto www.bwfc.co.uk or www.radcliffeborough.com for more details on the game. A full match report will appear on these pages over the weekend.
