The Oman international was in goal at the weekend and helped keep a clean sheet as the Latics claimed a goalless draw at St Andrews.
Although Wigan have been weak at the back on home soil they are yet to concede in two Premier League away matches.
Al Habsi is pleased with the club's two away results and believes confidence is high going into their weekend match with Wolves.
"At the moment, I'm full of confidence and loving every minute of being at Wigan Athletic," he told the club's official website.
"I feel as though I've been here three years not three months. Everyone associated with the club has been fantastic, the facilities are superb and it's been like one big family.
"It was a great point for us at Birmingham, and for myself it was important to keep a clean-sheet. All the lads played to a high-level and could well have come away with all three points.
"We've played two games away from home now and picked up four points which will give us plenty of confidence when we have to travel away again, and it'll also give us momentum going into Saturday's match against Wolves."
Al Habsi refused to take any individual honours from the drawing at Birmingham, despite making a brave dive at Cameron Jerome's feet.
"As individuals we have to help the team and as a team we have to help each other," he continued. "That's all I was doing by making the save and it went some way to securing an important point.
"Together with the rest of the defence we had a tough game last weekend. Birmingham put you under a lot of pressure with long balls and crosses. But we put in a real team performance and managed to keep a clean-sheet which is crucial at this level."
