The media have been speculating all week that Bolton are one of the clubs interested in signing the Swiss international and now Allardyce has admitted his interest providing he can find the right financial package to satisfy the former Blackburn Rovers player.
"Stephane Henchoz is a player we admire and if we can find the right financial package, I'd like to think that we could be in a good position to sign him. We would be competing against a number of other clubs, but we can offer him the chance to stay in the North West. Getting a deal done will be difficult as with any transfer target". he told the club's official site
Allardyce also confirmed that a deal for Dinamo Moscow striker Dmitri Bulykin looks dead in the water after the overall package to bring the Russian striker to the Reebok Stadium proved too expensive.
"I don't think we will be able to pursue our interest in Bulykin, It is becoming too expensive for us and we may have to look elsewhere" the Bolton boss added
