Bolton Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce has said that it is still a possibility that his side may be involved in a relegation fight and describes the recent run of results as a "crisis".
Wanderers haven't won since their 2-1 truimph over Charlton Athletic at the end of January and the Bolton boss is still concerned that the club might be pulled into the relegation scrap along with the likes of Portsmouth, Leicester City, Leeds United and Wolves, even though at the moment there is still a significant gap between the Trotters and the chasing pack.
"I'm very disappointed and very worried, Four league defeats on the trot is a bit of a crisis point for us. People are saying we are safe but we are still anything but safe."
Whilst acknowledging the difficulty of the recent games against Arsenal and Chelsea and the the forthcoming visit of Newcastle United, Allardyce says that getting more positive results isn't beyond the team and is encouraging his players to go out and perform to their best capabilities.
"This group of games against Chelsea, Arsenal and Newcastle, was always going to be difficult. But they are never beyond us; they haven't been in the past and they shouldn't be now.''
