Bolton Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce has confirmed that he tried to sign Brazilian goal ace Rivaldo over the summer but the former Barcelona player's wage demands where out of the clubs range.
The 31-year old is set to move from AC Milan in January having failed to settle at the San Siro and there are strong rumours that the World Cup winner could be plying his trade in the Premiership before the end of the season after both Chelsea and Manchester United where said to be interested in the player.
"We thought about him (Rivaldo) but he was too expensive. Our information is that he may have bigger and better clubs after him" claimed Allardyce
