Wigan and Bolton both extended their unbeaten Barclays Premier League runs as they had to settle for a point apiece in a 1-1 draw at the DW Stadium. After a first half notable mainly for a serious-looking injury to James McCarthy, it was the hosts who took the lead with 59 minutes gone as a lovely move involving Charles N'Zogbia and Franco Di Santo ended with Hugo Rodallega beating Jussi Jaaskelainen. But Bolton took only seven minutes to get back on level terms, Johan Elmander netting his fifth goal of the season, as the Trotters made it five games unbeaten and Wigan four. McCarthy was carried from the field after receiving several minutes of treatment following a challenge by Fabrice Muamba who escaped caution for the incident. But the home side put that behind them when they took the lead with a wonderful goal from Rodallega, with Di Santo's clever pass laying on the strike. But matters were quickly levelled when Stuart Holden's cross from the right was headed into the middle by Kevin Davies, where substitute Matt Taylor's first contribution was to poke the ball into the path of Elmander, who slotted under Chris Kirkland.
