The Mirror says the Scot, who had worked with Sammy Lee and even been caretaker at the Reebok this season was told to go by Gary Megson yesterday.

Megson is looking for his own people and will make more swinging cuts and changes this summer. The club have confirmed it is not cost-cutting measure.
