Sam Allardyce will once again have to switch targets as he attempts to bring a new forward to the club after two players he earmarked for Bolton Wanderers had their futures sorted out.
His main target all summer has been Wolverhampton Wanderers unsettled front man Henri Camara but late last week the Senegal international completed a record £1.5 million loan move to the Scottish Champions Celtic in a deal which could eventually be worth over £7 million to the Molineux club if he impresses during his time at Parkhead.
Blackburn Rovers attacker Dwight Yorke was also said to be a recent target of Allardyce but he too will not be moving across Lancashire as he is said to have patched up his differences with the Rovers boss Graeme Souness and is now back in the first team picture having played in the recent friendly win over Stockport County.
Still the search for players to add to the Trotters squad goes on with Big Sam hoping to sign a goalkeeper, a left back and another forward by the time the window closes a month from now.
