"He is a great player, he has great ability, great pace and great talent," Stelios said.
"I like him a lot and I think he will become a great player for Bolton Wanderers, if he stays on the ground."
Vaz Te created Stelios' first of two goals in Saturday's win at Everton.
Boss Sam Allardyce also said: "He turned the game in our favour with that first run.
"He used his pace, his ability and the deft touch with his pass that made it very easy for Stelios to have the opportunity to score."
Gary Speed, who scored Wanderers' third from the penalty spot against his old club, said Vaz Te gave the attack "an extra dimension".
"He did great for that second goal," Speed said. "Once that went in I don't think the result was ever in doubt."
