Big Sam: 'Bruce Can Turn It Around'

Bolton manager Sam Allardyce is backing Steve Bruce to turn it around for Birmingham City this season.

"Steve is in his third year in the Premiership and because he has not won his home matches that has created a bigger issue (than before)," he told Bolton's in-house TV station Wanderers World.

"If you lose a match, make sure you don't lose it at home. The fans who come to watch you want to see you winning.

"On your travels it is something they will forgive you for. That's his problem this season in that he hasn't won a home game yet.

"That's caused the fans to be restless and lead to speculation about his position.

"Along the way everyone has a difficult season. At the moment it is happening to Steve.

"But the directors have backed him and I am sure they will continue to back him, which is right.

"At the end of season as long as they are still in the Premiership they can build from there."

Meanwhile, Bolton and Middlesbrough are among clubs keeping tabs on Didier Agathe's situation at Celtic.

Agathe's agent, Laurent Djaffo, has admitted: "Didier will fight for his place in the team, as he has been in Glasgow for a long time and likes the place.

"But, if he is not playing all season, it is obviously difficult to stay at the club."
