Bolton Wanderers have confirmed that they have not struck up a deal to sign Marseille captain Brahim Hemdani despite reports in this mornings press which claim otherwise.
Certain news sources earlier in the day suggested that the Algerian midfielder was the latest summer recruit to join the Trotters but the club says that talk of a deal being agreed is premature stating that although the player is a target an agreement is still very much a long way off.
The Spanish press also list Bolton as potential suitors for Barcelona forward Patrick Kluivert but the fact that the Dutch international is earning an estimated £4 million a year will surely rule him out of a move to the Reebok Stadium. North East duo Newcastle United and Middlesbrough have already shyed away from the wages asked by the former Ajax star who will need to lower his demands if he is to move to England.
Meanwhile another Dutchman Jordi Cruyff, currently on trial with Bolton will play for the Wanderers tonight in their friendly against Dundee United in Leyland where it is expected that a decision will be made on his future once he has been seen in a competitive game.
