Bolton linked to South American

Chilean International defender Jorge Vargas is being linked with a Free Transfer move to either Bolton Wanderers or Southampton having left Italian side Reggiana earlier in the month and as a free agent before the deadline means he can move when the transfer window is closed.

The centre half was a pivitol figure for Reggiana last season but a dispute over wages has now meant he will look for employment elswhere with Serie A sides Chievo and Siena both keen on taking the 26-year old on board.

However the player has requested that his agent fly him into London so that he can find a club in the English Premiership.

Juventus where linked to the tough tackling player last season but decided not to persue their interest.
