Maccabi Tel Aviv defender Tal Ben Haim is currently training with Bolton Wanderers in the hope that he will be offered a deal by the Trotters manager Sam Allardyce.
The 22-year old Israeli is currently out of contract with his club and has been trialing in England with various teams such as Aston Villa, Blackburn Rovers and Portsmouth with Allardyce now looking at the young full back to see if he has what it takes in England's top flight.
Tel Aviv are set to claim compensation if the player moves abroad as they feel that they should be owed around £1.5 million for his services but as in the case with Turkish midfielder Akin Bulent two years ago if he is out of contract then he is able to move where he likes provided all the relevant paperwork can be completed.
So far this summer former Manchester United man Jordi Cruyff, Cameroonian Carlos Kameni and Brazilian duo Emerson and Julio Cesar have all be taken on trial by Bolton.
