Bolton V Leicester at Reebok Stadium - Match Preview

Ngog misses out for Trotters

Dougie Freedman must do without David Ngog as he looks to make it two wins from as many matches at the start of his Bolton reign when Leicester visit the Reebok Stadium.

Former Liverpool striker Ngog struck a 76th-minute winner to see off npower Championship leaders Cardiff on Saturday but then found time to pick up two yellow cards and be dismissed early in stoppage time.

The ban will not result in a direct change to Freedman's starting line-up as Ngog was on as a substitute for skipper Kevin Davies, while Marvin Sordell and Benik Afobe provide alternative options up front.

Elsewhere, Wanderers have no new injury worries but long-term absentees Andy Lonergan, Stuart Holden, David Wheater and Josh Vela (all knee) remain on the sidelines.

Leicester will be without Zak Whitbread.

Whitbread will serve a one-match suspension after he was sent off with six minutes remaining of the 2-1 defeat to Watford on Saturday.

Ritchie De Laet is available again though after a one-match ban ruled him out against the Hornets.

The former Manchester United trainee is expected to return at right-back with teenager Liam Moore, who covered for De Laet at Vicarage Road, likely to move into the middle of the back four and partner captain Wes Morgan in central defence.

Striker Jamie Vardy is struggling to overcome a calf problem and remains a doubt while centre-half Sean St. Ledger is still recovering from a hamstring injury.
