MATCH PREVIEW

Another week, another north-west derby for Manchester United, who make the short journey to Bolton's Reebok Stadium looking for a sixth consecutive victory over their Lancashire neighbours.

It's been a few years since we got a win against them. It would be nice to come away with a big result

Bolton captain Kevin Davies

Following epic encounters with Everton and Liverpool, Sir Alex Ferguson will be hoping for something more routine at a ground where his side have suffered just one defeat in 11 visits. Defensive lapses have already cost United four points this season, and Rio Ferdinand's return to fitness is a major boost.

Man-of-the-moment Dimitar Berbatov will return to United's attack having sat out the midweek Carling Cup win over Scunthorpe. The Bulgarian has responded to criticism of his perceived lack of work-rate with a series of dazzling displays, and confirmed his renaissance with his first hat-trick for the club against Liverpool on Sunday.

Bolton have already suffered one derby defeat this week, losing 1-0 to Burnley in the Carling Cup, but Owen Coyle will be satisfied with his side's start to the season. Wanderers have lost just once in the league so far, but need to start turning draws into wins as they look to improve on last season's 14th-place finish.
