A move for Portsmouth's Amdy Faye all depends on whether or not Bolton can raise the funds needed to purchase the Senegalese midfielder.
That was the word coming from the player's agent Willie McKay today, a man who Wanderers chief Sam Allardyce has dealt with on a number of occasions when looking into recruiting new talent.
The wantaway African is up for sale at around the £1.5 million mark and is expected to attract a lot of interest from Premiership clubs during the January transfer window.
"Certainly Sam Allardyce is very interested but putting in a bid depends on raising the funds, I've spoken to Bolton, and other clubs, but things are a bit slow at the moment." said McKay
Middlesbrough, Birmingham City and Fulham have also previously held interest in the 27-year old but Faye, once of French club Auxerre, would relish a move to the Reebok Stadium to link up with his international team mates El-Hadji Diouf and Khalilou Fadiga.
