Henri Camara - valuation differences
Bolton Wanderers have been told that they must up their bid if they are to land Senegalese international Henri Camara from the recently relegated Premiership club Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolves cheif executive Jez Moxey has confirmed that the Trotters have lodged an interest in the 27-year old striker by means of a written letter but has denied that the Black Country club has received a £2.5 million offer from Sam Allardyce's team.

It seems that the two clubs valuation of the former Sedan attacker is differing. Wolves are said to want in the region of £5 million for their unsettled player but Bolton are said to be willing to offer significantly less for the player who moved to Molineux a year ago from France.

Speaking of the initial contact between the clubs Moxey said that the Bolton chairman Phil Gartside had asked about the availability of Camara recently but when told of the position regarding the player withdrew an interest.

"Phil Gartside made an inquiry about Henri Camara and we explained our position that he is not for sale, Gartside confirmed he would not be making an offer for the player. "

However since the initial inquiry further contact was made to Wolves regarding Camara but Moxey has confirmed that despite the interest a more realistic offer is still yet to be lodged for the World Cup star who is currently on international duty with his country.

"We have since received a letter from Bolton of confirmation of their interest in Henri in which they have given us their valuation. But as far as we are concerned we have still not received a formal offer" Moxey added.
