Bolton are on the trail of Mexican international Jared Borgetti. Bolton manager Sam Allardyce has been frustrated in the transfer market so far this summer and has made a new striker one of his top priorities.
Borgetti, 31, who currently plays for Pachuca, wants a move to Europe before next year's World Cup, with England his prefered destination. German side Hertha Berlin are reportedly about to make a £1.2million bid for Borgetti but Bolton are prepared to match this offer.
Borgetti is to fly into England next week to discuss a move to Bolton with Sam Alardyce determined to capture the Mexican's signature.
