Bolton Wanderers assistant manager Phil Brown has admitted that there has already been interest in a number of the Trotters players during the January transfer window.
Seven of the first team squad have been made available for transfer this week with Henrik Pedersen, Fernando Hierro and Florent Laville amongst those touted for a move elsewhere.
Former Bolton skipper Brown has admitted that it is likely that the club will see action both incoming and outgoing over the next couple of weeks as the club looks to improve the squad.
"We have thrown one or two big fish in to wet people's whistle and there has been interest already. It has set the ball rolling and who knows by the end of January we might have two or three players in and two or three out." he told BBC GMR.
Meanwhile Pedersen has spoken of his disappointment at being on the transfer list but has vowed to do his upmost to persuade the club that he wants to stay.
"It was especially disappointing to learn that Bolton were looking to sell me after such a good season, and it is only five weeks since they extended my contract. I will try to keep scoring and make it obvious that I want to stay." he said.
