A loan deal for Russian striker Dmitri Bulykin could be back on as the player has backed out of a similar move to Premiership strugglers Crystal Palace.
Bolton target Bulykin rejected the overtures of the London club earlier this week as he did not want to play for a team which was fighting a relegation battle, meaning that Sam Allardyce could now rekindle his earlier interest in the Dinamo Moscow player.
Allardyce has been tracking the 25-year old since before Christmas so this latest development could prove to be a welcome boost as he goes in search of new players.
