New Leeds United signing Cyril Chapuis admits he had interest from a number of Premiership clubs including Bolton Wanderers prior to his deadline day move to Elland Road.
The Marseille striker, who joined Leeds on a year long loan, rejected approaches by Portsmouth, Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton before deciding to link up with Peter Reid's side.
The 24-year old former Rennes player was another name in the frame to improve Bolton's striking prospects as was former Tottenham Hotspur striker Sergei Rebrov but unless Sam Allardyce can find an out of contract striker before January then the Wanderers will have to rely on the strikers that are already at the club to get the goals.
