Bolton Wanderers defender Simon Charlton has left the club's training camp in La Manga early so that he can recieve some treatment on a knee injury which he picked up in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Aston Villa.
The 31-year old defender who had an operation on his knee over the summer will return home as a precaution and Wanderers Assistant Manager Phil Brown explains the injury is not serious and the former Birmingham City player should be back for the game against Manchester City on Saturday week.
"Charlie picked up the niggling injury in the game against Villa. it's nothing to worry about but we've sent him back home to have one-to-one treatment with the physio's" he said
