Charlton Tips Bolton To Bounce Back

Former Bolton Wanderers defender Simon Charlton has backed his old club to bounce back from their recent blip in form which has seen them without a win in six games.

The 33-year old Norwich City ace faced his former collegues for the first time on Saturday afternoon and came out on top as two Matt Svensson goals helped the Canaries gain only their second Premiership win of the season.

Despite the second 3-2 defeat for Wanderers in quick succession, Charlton believes that Bolton can reproduce a good run of results with the players that they have in their squad.

"It was a great win and meant a lot to me personally. We played the better stuff over the 90 minutes," Charlton told the Manchester Evening News

"I saw Jay-Jay Okocha afterwards and they are very despondent because of the run they are going through but I'm sure they'll come good again.

"You've only got to look at the teamsheet and you'll see they've got some great players. Man for man we shouldn't have had a hope really but these things happen when you are on a bad run and things don't break for you.

"They have got a few problems but they have good players and good management and they'll get through it."
