Emerson Thome - switch across the region?
Manchester City manager Kevin Keegan could be set to offer Emerson Thome a chance to stay in the North West with the offer of a one year contract to join the Citezens at the City of Manchester Stadium.

The 31-year old has rejected fresh terms to stay at the Reebok Stadium with Bolton and Keegan could be tempted to make a move for the former Chelsea and Sunderland star to add to his defensive options.

Thome was a regular in Bolton's 2003-2004 success which saw them finish in 8th place in the Premiership but has been unhappy with the new contract terms that the Trotters have put to him prompting talk of a move elsewhere both at home and abroad.

Meanwhile the Wanderers potential deal to sign Everton's David Unsworth has been stalled after the former England international picked up a reoccurance of an old injury.
