Sam Allardyce feels he may be priced out of a move for Roma's Olivier Dacourt with the Wanderers boss fearing his wage demands may scupper a switch to The Reebok Stadium.
"I don't know about Olivier Dacourt," the Bolton manager told Sky Sports News.
"I'd love to have him here but I still think he might possibly be too expensive for us to delve in that area, sadly.
"But we'll wait and see what comes round.
"I think Dacourt is still under contract at Roma so there ain't any real pressure on him moving football clubs, only if he considers it right for him and the finances are right.
"I have no problems with people asking the sort of money they're asking if that's what they think they're worth. If we can't pay it, we just say politely we can't and good luck to them."
