The 27-year old missed the midweek win over Birmingham City at St Andrews but could be in line for a first team return this coming Saturday as the Trotters make the long journey to Suffolk.
Kevin has responded well to treatment and he should be okay for Ipswich match," Sam Allardyce told the club site
Allardyce confirmed that he faces a selection dilemma now that Davies is fit having seen El-Hadji Diouf perform admirably well in the central striker role during the absence of the Wanderers player of the year.
"He now faces stiff competition from El-Hadji Diouf, who has looked the part since moving into a more central role at St Andrew's. I was forced to change the way we played at Birmingham because of Kevin's (Davies) injury and it paid off. It's good that we have two quality strikers vying for this key role."
