The major item on the agenda was a £2.2m share issue submitted by Mr Davies to help pay off a bank loan which the club has had hanging over them and could have forced them to sell star players had Mr Davies not put the money in. 79% where in favour of this which now means that Davies who was awarded an OBE in 2000 will be the owner and Phil Gartside will remain as chairman.
