The 19-year-old defender collided with advertising boards and was rushed to hospital where tests confirmed a fractured shoulder which will keep him out for the rest of the season
"Im totally gutted for the lad" Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce told the clubs official website.
"He's been part of our first team plans of late and its just a shame that this has happened at this stage of the season
"He was making lots of progress and the way he was performing in training and for the reserves might have helped him to play some part in our Premiership campaign
"I hope the lad can recover and get back to where he left of as soon as possible"
