Derby County goalkeeper Andy Oakes has signed Bolton Wanderers on a three month loan deal according to the Rams official website.
The 27-year old has found himself to be third choice custodian at Pride Park due to the emergence of youngsters Lee Camp and Lee Grant so a move to the Reebok Stadium as competition for Jussi Jaaskelainen and Kevin Poole will come as a welcome boost to the player.
Oakes joined Derby in the summer of 1999 following a spells with Hull City, Winsford United and Bury and has since gone on to play just under half a century of games for the Rams, with injury halting his progress in recent seasons.
Commenting on his tenth summer capture Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce said
"Andy is a competent goalkeeper and will add scope to our squad.We already have two excellent keepers in Jussi Jaaskelainen and Kevin Poole, but Andy will come in and put pressure on the boys."
