"Sometimes people don't like me on the pitch but I am a bad loser and I want to win every time," Diouf told the club's official website.
"The Liverpool match was a big game because we needed to react after Sunderland and Manchester United.
"I have a big character and I don't like it when someone is talking at me.
"I told Carragher to wait because I'm going to score and that's what I did."
Meanwhile, Bolton midfielder Ivan Campo could be in line for a move to La Liga side Real Mallorca, according to reports in Spain.
Campo's agent, Miguel Angel Cermeno, has revealed that Mallorca have made an approach and Campo could consider going back to the club he played for in 1997-98.
"Someone has called us and told us that Mallorca are interested in Ivan," stated Cermeno.
"The normal thing is for the club to call me and from there we see if Bolton are willing to allow him to leave.
"He (Campo) would be delighted to return to Palma (Mallorca) even though he is highly valued at Bolton.
"However, it would be really sad if the deal didn't go ahead just because we have to go through this intermediary."
