Former Bolton Wanderers favourite Youri Djorkaeff has broken his silence regarding his decision not to accept the clubs offer of a new deal claiming that the club went back on their word during negotiations.
Djorkaeff 36, was offered a one year deal to stay at the Reebok Stadium over the summer but chose not to accept the proposal put to him after the club changed their initial offer slightly.
"The Bolton chairman left for two months of holidays in Australia and when he came back the proposition had changed," Djorkaeff told L'Equipe
This latest revelation may finally have shut the door on a potential return for the former French international with SKY Sports claiming that other English clubs are said to be keen on luring the World Cup winner back to these shores.
In other news Djorkaeff's former international team mate Sylvain Wiltord has priced himself out of a move to the Reebok with hefty wage demands scuppering any deal.
