Oman keeper Ali Al-Habsi is being tracked by Bolton Wanderers and Manchester City.
Al-Habsi is available on a free transfer from Norwegian side Lyn and the two clubs will battle it out for the 23 year olds signature. A £400,000 bid from Bolton was turned down last season and now they lead the race for the Oman stopper as the lure of European football could be too much for Man City to compete with.
Benni McCarthy is on his way to the Premiership according to reports circulating around the media. The South African striker has apparentely fallen out with Porto management and now looks set to play in England next season, with Bolton and Blackburn keen admirers of the 27 year old.
"In South Africa, when I was a child, I only watched English football. It is an obsession that I have," he said.
