Former Bolton Wanderers manager Colin Todd has been linked with a move back into football management with Third Division side Leyton Orient after submitting an application to become their next manager.
Todd, who first joined Bolton as First Team Coach under Bruce Rioch in the summer of 1992 was later to take the club to a record breaking season as manager when in 1997 they gained 98 points and scored 100 goals to become Division One champions.
The 54-year old former England international has also managed Middlesbrough, Swindon Town and Derby County whom he left in 2002 and is keen to get back into management having recently been linked to Hartlepool United and Northampton Town.
He could ironically face competition from Rioch after it was also claimed the ex-Wanderers and Arsenal manager was keen to take over from Paul Brush at Orient.
