Ancona defender Mauro Milanese is the latest player hoping to earn a contract with Bolton Wanderers as a trial for the veteran stopper is said to be imminent.
The 32-year old is available following Ancona's relegation to Serie B and could provide the Trotters with some experienced defensive cover with the transfer window deadline just over a week away.
Milanese has played for a number of clubs in Italy's top flight but he is perhaps best known for his spells with Inter Milan and Perugia in the late 1990's. The Triese born defender is set to link up with the Premiership club Bolton for a number of training sessions to enable Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce to run the rule over the Italian.
