Former Bolton Wanderers defender Danny Winter has died at his home in Wales at the age of 85 leaving behind his wife Nell and son David.
The Tonypandy born player played 37 games in the right back role during the Wartime Years and has also represented Chelsea and Swindon Town during his career.
Winter was the youngest of the Wanderers players to sign up for the 53rd Field Regiment during the war years and also served in Italy and North Africa. We at BoltonMAD would like to express our deepest sympathys to Mr Winter's family and friends.
