Local rivals Blackburn Rovers have completed the signing of former Bolton Wanderers favourite Youri Djorkaeff on a deal until the New Year.
The 36-year old World Cup winner rejected a similar offer from Fulham and becomes Mark Hughes first signing since taking over in the Ewood Park hotseat earlier this month.
Everton and Birmingham City were also said to be interested in the former French international who made a big impression during his two year stay at Bolton.
Djorkaeff was offered fresh terms to stay at the Reebok Stadium but decided to move on as the deal put to him was not what he was originally offered by the club.
