Neil Redfearn
Back in the summer 1982 the then Bolton Wanderers manager John McGovern brought in a battling midfielder by the name of Neil Redfearn following the young Yorkshireman's release from the Youth training programme at Nottingham Forest.

Nowadays 22 years on and in the veteran stages of his career the 38-year old is back in the North West having put pen to paper on a deal with Third Division strugglers Rochdale in a bid to lend his invaluable experience to the relegation dogfight.

Redfearn has seen service with no fewer than fourteen league sides during his career including spells in the Premiership with Barnsley, Charlton Athletic and Bradford City and has more recently held Player-Coaching roles with both Halifax Town and Boston United.

With over 700 games since he made his league debut for Wanderers against Rotherham United on the 19th February 1983 the Dewsbury born player is showing no signs of giving up the game he has served for so long.
