Bolton Wanderers are said to have re-entered the race to sign Inter Milan full back Jeremie Brechet but they could face some stiff competition from Spanish club Real Sociedad.
Brechet was a target of Bolton manager Sam Allardyce during the Christmas period and it would appear that the 24-year old would jump at the opportunity of a move elsewhere after making just 11 appearances since his move to the Italian giants from Lyon in the summer of 2003.
Bologna, Siena and Fulham have all watched the Frenchman in action but at the moment it seems like Sociedad are the front runners to secure the signature of the young defender.
Meanwhile Bolton are still waiting to complete the formalities of a deal that will bring Everton defender David Unsworth to the Reebok Stadium on a Bosman Free Transfer.
