"We have agreed to let Gomaa go to England on Sunday following Ahli's African Champions League match with Asante Kotoko," Al-Badri told FilGoal.com.
"He will return once he finishes the trial period.
"Gomaa may have a problem as Egypt prepare for Burundi's game in the African Cup qualifiers.
"He has to co-ordinate with manager Hassan Shehata."
Meanwhile, Sam Allardyce has admitted his interest in Fulham's Steed Malbranque, while also reportedly weighing up a bid for Deportivo La Coruna midfielder Aldo Duscher.
Big Sam told the club website about his interest in Malbranque, "He has all the right qualities we are looking for. There is no secret that he wants away from Fulham and I hope we can do a deal for him.
"There is a lot of French influence in my squad and maybe that could persuade him to join us ahead of other teams that are also interested in him."
