Former Bolton Wanderers loanee Russell Hoult is being linked with a return to the club according to two reports in today's Sunday newspapers.
The West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper is said to be ready to quit the relegation threatened Baggies, with both the Trotters and Tottenham Hotspur ready to take the 32-year old away from the Hawthorns.
Hoult had previously spent four games on loan with the Wanderers back in the 1993-1994 season when Bruce Rioch was in charge. Over the years he has developed into an under-rated custodian and at one point had been tipped for full international honours with England.
Bolton manager Sam Allardyce has been in the market for a goalkeeper for quite some time and has run the rule over a number of foreign trialists in the last few months.
Meanwhile Allardyce is also said to have made a personal check on Roma defender Vicent Candela. The veteran Frenchman has had an indifferent time with the Italian giants this season.
