Anelka told The Mirror: "I am playing alone up front which is not what I prefer. Our game is based on 'kick and rush' so I don't get the ball much.
"At the start, I was supposed to play with Kevin Davies. But the team is winning. We annoy other sides and, if we don't score much, we concede even fewer goals. We press a lot, so as far as fitness is concerned I am at 100 per cent."
"I was supposed to play with Kevin Davies" Says Anelka
"I have started to re-find the rhythm of the English league which I know by heart and I love."
Meanwhile, Bolton stopper Jussi Jaaskelainen has set his sights on winning silverware for Wanderers before he hangs up his gloves for good.
Jaaskelainen, who kept a clean sheet for Finland against Armenia on Saturday said, "It looks as though this might be my last campaign with Finland as I will be 33-34 for the next one," he said.
"But the bigger disappointment for me if I never won anything with Bolton. While 34 might seem young for a goalkeeper, you have to start thinking about your family and your health.
"You cannot keep playing week in, week out."
