Wolverhampton Wanderers captain Paul Ince has blasted Bolton Wanderers for using Nationwide League tactics during the second half of the 1-1 draw between the two clubs over the weekend but has said he hopes the Trotters survive in the Premiership for the sake of his former Inter Milan team mate and good friend Youri Djorkaeff.
The former Manchester United, Liverpool and England man says the Wanderers just kept launching balls upfield and that was a play which he describes as being back in the Nationwide League.
"They spent the second half just launching balls up the pitch and I thought I was back in the Nationwide. That's all Bolton did - at least we tried to play football and do it the right way.
"When you've got quality players such as Djorkaeff and Okocha, the last thing you do is keep whacking balls up in the air. And that's why I thought the likes of Djorkaeff and Okocha were quiet because they hardly had any of the ball because it was in the air all the time. " he blasted
"When you've got top players like that, you've got to use them but Bolton didn't. There are going to be games when Bolton will need something special to win a match and Youri Djorkaeff will surely provide that,"
"Youri and I are very good friends, we had a great time at Inter Milan together and just for his sake, I hope Bolton survive." he told the Manchester Evening News
