Kevin Nolan has urged his Bolton Wanderers team mate El-Hadji Diouf to stop opening his mouth and let his football do the talking.
Yesterday's goalscoring hero Nolan believes that the African ace often gets involved in petty incidents with opponents and referees alike, thus sometimes often overshadowing an excellent performance.
The on-loan Liverpool striker has been in top form since returning from a three match ban for spitting and Nolan says the 23-year old has enough ability about him to silence his doubters.
"Diouf has been superb since he came back for us. I just wish he'd shut his mouth and just get on with playing with the ball. I've told him and he seems to be listening a bit more.
"He is a superb lad, don't get me wrong, but sometimes it is frustrating because he tries to get involved in stupid things when he should let his football do the talking. You can see he has got a lot of skill about him by the way he tormented the Birmingham defence on Tuesday.
Nolan says that the former Lens forward has been a joy to play alongside during his spell at the Reebok Stadium and joked that he will have to use sticky tape to silence his team mate.
"He was fantastic but if he can just keep his mouth shut, maybe tape it up before the game, he'll be great for us this season. I certainly enjoy playing with him."
