He told the Bolton Evening News: "It is very important to me if the gaffer is going to be here next year. If it is not possible I will go to another team.
"It is a great job to be the England coach but they another gaffer and I think Sam needs to think about Bolton Wanderers.
"A lot of teams are asking about my situation and my future at Bolton Wanderers.
"I spoke with my agent and my first option is Bolton Wanderers.
"If I want to continue for one year more, the other teams will have to wait.
"I would like to stay one more year but, after four years, I need to think about a lot of things.
"I need to speak to the gaffer about the next project for Bolton Wanderers.
"I spoke to him today and I will be having a special meeting with him next week.
"I want to speak about how many players will be here next year, the players who are finishing their contracts and if he wants to buy a very important player. I would like to know these things.
"The most important thing is that you have a very good team with a lot of players, very good players, with young players, with experienced players.
"It is very important to prepare a very big team."
