Mario Jardel is close to sealing a move to struggling La Liga outfit Espanyol after reports in Spain this morning claim that the Bolton Wanderers striker is on his way to the Estadic Olimpic.
Jardel 30, joined Wanderers in the summer from Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon but he has failed to settle during his time in England and it now seems likely that the club will use the transfer window to cut their losses on the Brazilian striker.
Along with the Spanish outfit, both Besiktas and a club in the Far-East had been linked to the former Golden Boot winner and with Bolton having signed another striker in Javi Moreno during the week it now seems like Jardel's unhappy spell could come to an end providing the deal is approved by Espanyol coach Luis Fernandez.
