Being a Wanderers fan since 1986, Super John was always a big favourite of mine when he played for the club and like many Boltonians I was upset at his departure to Bradford City in 1997, he formed many a useful partnership with the likes of Andy Walker, Owen Coyle, Mixu Paatelainen and Nathan Blake during his time with the club and was the scorer of many an important goal in the clubs history none more so than the ones in the cups, play offs and the best of all the last one at Burnden Park
