Stelios Giannakopoulous told Wanderers World he was tempted when Liverpool showed an interest in his services, but admitted he could not leave the family environment and great surroundings at Bolton.
"If Liverpool come knocking then you have to consider it. That could be your one and only chance to play for one of the big clubs.
"But in the end I was very happy to stay at Bolton. It is a good family club, the environment here is brilliant - you cannot say no to these sorts of surroundings.
"I had a very good chat with the gaffer (Sam Allardyce) and it was a good offer they made to stay at the club. I am very settled here and hope we can keep doing as well as we are at the moment."
