The tie against the Hatters will take place at Kenilworth Road on Saturday 24th January 2004 with a 3:00pm kick off time. Mike Newell's side managed to knock out Bradford City in the last round of the competition with a fine 2-1 win over their First Division opponents thanks to a brace from Adrian Forbes and should Wanderers get past Tranmere then the Bedfordshire club would be looking for another cup scalp.
The last time the two clubs met in the FA Cup was in the 1996-1997 season when Wanderers drew 1-1 at Luton and won in fine style 6-2 in the replay at Burnden Park.
