"I see a return to Mallorca as very feasible," admitted Campo.
"I have always said that I wanted to return because it was the team where I most enjoyed playing football and where they treated me best."
Whether Trotters’ boss Sam Allardyce would be willing to lose the player remains to be seen, yet with just six months remaining on his contract, a deal could well be struck.
"I am a free player to negotiate with who I like to continue playing football,” added Campo. "I have a contract until June 30, so there would have to be a transfer fee and I do not know if Mallorca would want to do that.
"Maybe if Bolton want to receive something for me right now, because I can go for free later, it can be feasible. We are losing five players to the African Cup of Nations and I do not know if Bolton would be willing to lose me right now."
